Paul Harris started Rotary on Feb. 23 more than 108 years ago. Now more than 1.2 million Rotarians around the world provide “service above self.” Recently the Rotary Club of Tryon joined together to celebrate Rotary; the members were hosted by Rotarian Denise Byers at Laurelhurst in Columbus. To honor the visiting Rotarians, residents of Laurelhurst crafted origami “Peace Cranes” as a gift for each one who attended the event.
