In addition to the live music, the festival featured an Antique Car Show on Gibson St., adjacent to the courthouse, sponsored by the Little Detroit Car Club of the Great Smoky Mountain Region. The Polk County History Museum and House of Flags also hosted a grand re-opening event, along with a Baking Contest.
Live music was performed on the Mills Street stage throughout the day, highlighted by the Silver Travis Band, whose members kicked off the fireworks show at 9:45 with a soul-stirring rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
With clear skies, a variety of food, and family-friendly activities and vendors, the Fabulous Fourth Festival was a fantastic celebration of community spirit.
