Legal owner had right to take down trees

To the Editor:
I am really sick of hearing from all the do-gooder tree huggers griping about the clear cutting of the property across from Harmon Field.
It seems that all these folks want to do is look at the trees grow, mature and deteriorate. Sometimes, not always clear cutting is the best thing that can be done for a strand of trees. If one goes and selects the best trees to cut leaving the scrub trees to grow then the resulting forest will neither be the best that could be grown nor the most beautiful aesthetically.
If, what the legal owner of the land has done is within the limits of the law, then the rest of you should just be quiet already.
