POLK COUNTY—A new support group aimed at helping parents of young children connect, learn and grow together will launch Wednesday, July 16, at the Columbus Library in Polk County.

Hosted by the Partnership for Children of the Foothills, the Circle of Parents group will meet weekly from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The free program is open to parents and caregivers of children from birth to age five.

Each session offers a supportive space for parents to share experiences, exchange ideas and receive encouragement. Trained child care staff will engage children in nearby play with age-appropriate activities, and healthy snacks will be provided for both adults and children.

“Parents are their child’s first and most important teacher,” said Jessica Osteen, program director at the Partnership for Children of the Foothills. “Circle of Parents gives families a place to grow together, find new tools and build a support network that lasts.”

Circle of Parents groups are also available in McDowell and Rutherford counties. All sessions are free and open to the public; no registration is required.
