ATOS Trio, a piano trio noted for its impressive sound, will perform on Tuesday, October 8. Pianist Thomas Hoppe, violinist Annette von Hehn, and cellist Stefan Heinemeyer formed the ensemble in Berlin in 2003 and have since performed on concert stages around the world. Their recordings celebrate French, Russian, Czech, and Viennese classical and romantic music. The ensemble has been hailed for “pitch-perfect unanimity of phrasing, tone, feeling, and interpretation” (Detroit Free Press).

Avery Gagliano is a young and fast-rising star of the piano who will appear on Tuesday, November 12. Winner of awards at the 2020 National Chopin Piano Competition, Ms. Gagliano has distinguished herself at many venues. In 2023, she was invited by Sir András Schiff to participate in his Building Bridges concert series in Europe. After making her Carnegie Hall debut at age 20, she has appeared in venues across Europe and the United States and is a regular participant at chamber music festivals. She brings emotional depth and exquisite voicing to her playing.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center is once again sending extraordinary musicians to Tryon for a concert on Monday, February 10. “Spanish Journey” brings soprano Vanessa Becerra, guitarist Jason Vieaux, pianist Soyeon Kate Lee, violinist Kristin Lee, and cellist Clive Greensmith together to play music by noted Spanish composers, including Mañuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz, Joaquín Rodrigo, Pablo Sarasate, and Fernando Obredors. This will be an evening that explores in depth the range and beauty of Spanish music.

The final concert of the season, on Thursday, April 3, sees the return of WindSync, the wind quintet that played here in Tryon a few years ago. These young artists are noted for playing from memory and engaging with their audiences. Winner of numerous competitions, the ensemble has performed in prestigious venues in the United States and China, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Flutist Garrett Hudson, oboist Emily Tsai, clarinetist Graeme Steele Johnson, bassoonist Kara LaMoure, and horn player Anni Hochhalter are known as soloists as well as ensemble players. They play with “adroit technique and great fun” (All About Arts).
