TRYON—The Summer Tracks concert series in Rogers Park will continue on Friday, July 19, with the “Sweet Summer of Rock & Soul Revue.” 

This ensemble features Asheville’s and Summer Tracks’ favorite chanteuse, Peggy Ratusz, and brings together the area’s best vocalists and musicians for an evening of classic Rock & Roll. Joining Peggy on vocals are Reggie Headen and Jonathan Pearlman. 

Pearlman, a talented arranger, instrumentalist, and vocalist, has produced popular tributes to Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, and The Doors. Headen—who fronts Nighttime-Noon Band—possesses a powerhouse of a voice. He most recently blew audiences away singing lead in Pearlman’s Doors tribute. 

Joining Ratusz, Headen, and Pearlman are Taylor Pierson (keys), Ryan Kijanka (bass), Justin Watt (drums), Ashley Pritchard (sax), and Andrew Lawniczak (trumpet).

New View Realty of Tryon is Summer Tracks 24th Season Presenting Sponsor, and the Foundation for St. Luke’s Hospital is this event’s concert sponsor.

All Summer Tracks concerts begin at 7 p.m. In case of rain, concerts will move across the street inside the Tryon Fire Department. Kirk’s Kitchen will be selling hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken and fish sandwiches, french fries, water, and soft drinks. Alcohol consumption is allowed in the park but is not for sale. Audience donations, along with many local businesses and individual sponsors, make these shows possible.
