Chamber of Commerce recognizes sponsors of Feed the Foothills event

Event raises 7,000 pounds of food in three years
TRYON—The Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce recently announced the massive success of the Feed the Foothills/Harmon Field Music Festival that took place at Harmon Field in Tryon on September 23 of this year. The event brought the community together to showcase the spirit of unity and generosity through charity and music.
According to recent statistics, an alarming one in six individuals in Polk County
struggle with access to an adequate supply of nutritious food.
The Chamber wanted to recognize the importance of collaboration within the community, highlighting the influx of donations and the impact of sponsors. The event had over 30 sponsors, such as Stott’s Ford, Tryon Equestrian Partners and Saluda Outfitters.
“We are profoundly grateful for the support of our sponsors who have not only contributed to the success of this event, but have demonstrated their commitment to the growth and prosperity of our region. Their partnership is invaluable, and we look forward to continuing to work together to promote the thriving business environment in our four towns,” said Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce President Catina Gray. “I also want to thank the St. Luke’s Hospital staff who came, sorted and organized all the canned items we received.”
Gray also reported that over the last three years of Feed the Foothills festivals, 7,000 pounds of canned goods have been collected.
