SALUDA—A popular hiking destination in Polk County is currently closed due to an active rescue operation.

On Sunday, July 13, at around 3:45 p.m., Saluda Fire and Rescue said in a social media post that Big Bradley and Little Bradley trails are closed as emergency personnel conduct a rescue operation. Holbert Cove Rd. is also closed around the 4000 block.

Authorities are asking residents and visitors to avoid the area until further notice.
