The Tryon Country Club Women’s Club Championships and Men’s Super Senior Club Championship were played on October 7 and October 8. The weather was cool and dry but was very windy the first day, so the scores were a little higher than normal. The second day was less windy and had better scores.

In the Men’s Super Senior division, Randy Conway and Donnie Carruth were tied after day 1, but an even-par round on the second day gave Carruth his first Super Senior title in a close match with Randy. Jerry Perry came back strong on the second day to claim the Net title.

In the Women’s Senior Club Championship, Peggy Henson took a narrow lead after day 1 and played better on the second day to claim the title. Becky Kennedy won the Net by a large margin.

Playing to win the Tryon Country Club Women’s Club Championship for 2023, the ladies were all bunched up after day 1. But on day 2, Tracey Beaver came back from third place to claim her first Club Championship title. Jo Ann Silvia, who was the leader after day 1, hung on to win the Net division. Marge Avery took second place Gross, and Ann Gargiulo won second place Net.
