The Tryon Country Club Men’s Golf Association played a 2 Man Best Ball and had Closest-to-the-pin contests on both par 3s on Monday, August 28. There were 14 teams competing on a beautiful day. The scores were low. The results are listed below.

 

1st place – Russ Rabenstein & Richard Barraud – 29

2nd place – Mike Burrell & Ed Weatherby – 29

3rd place – Doug Gelbert & Art Brown – 31

4th place – Mike Bates & John House – 31

 

The teams of John Schickling and Ken Watson, Randy Conway and Jim Diggs, Bill Basye and Tom Bolling, Mike Axelrod and Jack Saunders – all had 32
