Be a lifesaver
The most recent CDC report shows that in the past 12 months ending in April 2021, drug overdoses have claimed the lives of more than 100,000 people nationwide. That translates to one person dying from overdose every five minutes in America. This is a staggering 28% increase in deaths from overdoses just from the previous year. We must make it a priority to focus not only on tackling substance use disorder, but also preventing anyone from dying of an overdose. The opioid epidemic is nothing new and neither are the efforts of preventing death and spreading awareness. The question is, what more can we do? How can you help be a lifesaver?
Naloxone nasal spray is an emergency medication that helps reverse the potentially deadly effects of an opioid overdose. Naloxone can help save a life. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about Naloxone and how to receive a free kit, please call 828-894-8271 to find out more information.
