Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Matthew Pohsweg moved to Columbus in 2006 from Atlanta after retiring from BellSouth. He had built a career in the telecommunications industry for 35 years after serving in the U.S. Army. Since moving to Polk County, he has volunteered with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program, the Polk County Transportation Advisory Board, Treasurer of Tryon Country Club, President of Morgan Chapel Village Homeowners Association, FENCE Open Horse Show events, and is presently serving as Treasurer for the Tryon Fine Arts Center. When not engaged in community activities, he travels with his wife Lynn and pursues a life-long interest in cars through the Porsche Club of America having served as Treasurer for the Appalachian Region.

The Second Wind Hall of Fame is an organization that seeks to identify those outstanding volunteers over the age of 60 who contribute to the quality of life in our community and have helped to make a difference.
