LANDRUM—The annual Dark Corner Classic car show will take place in downtown Landrum on Saturday, May 31, with over 300 classic cars on display along N.Trade Avenue.

The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., and the entry fee for each vehicle is $20. Trophies will be awarded in various categories. Those with vintage cars and trucks are encouraged to “cruise in” at the event, register, and share their passion for horsepower with attendees.

Last year’s event saw a record turnout, with hundreds of car enthusiasts attending to enjoy the show and a day of fellowship. Over 250 cars and trucks participated, and Terry Paden won Best in Show with his 1939 Lincoln pick-up.

The Dark Corner Classic will bring hundreds of show-worthy vehicles to downtown Landrum on Saturday, May 31.

“At least 300 vehicles are expected to this year,” said Landrum Marketing Director Tricia Taber. “We always look forward to this event; it’s so much fun and very family-friendly. It’s just a great time and the perfect way to spend the day enjoying what Landrum has to offer.”

Organizers say they are grateful for the community’s support and the many sponsors who help make the event possible each year. Sponsors include Landrum Hardware, Stott’s Ford, The Hare & The Hound Pub, Orange Bear Motors, Keystone Self Storage, Eubanks Farm Store, Flatwood Custom Hot Rod Shop, State Farm, Petty Funeral Home, Marketsold Realty, Leroy Maybry Used Cars, Geno’s Crane Service, Prince Propane Gas & Asphalt Paving, Jimmie Ross Garage and Gateway Realty of the Carolinas.

“We appreciate our sponsors and their continued support,” organizers shared.
