PCVC Blue’s title heads solid Spring Madness effort for club

Polk County Volleyball Club enjoyed another successful day of competition, led by PCVC Blue’s championship in Saturday’s Southeast Alliance Volleyball League’s Spring Madness tournament. 

PCVC Blue, comprised of players from the club’s 16U and 17U teams, took top honors in the 17-18 Girls Club division. PCVC Blue finished a perfect 5-0, not dropping a set, and defeated Upward Stars 18 David 25-19, 25-11 in the championship match. 

PCVC fielded two teams in the 14 Girls Club division, with PCVC 14U taking fourth place in the 23-team field and PCVC 13U/14U earning ninth.

PCVC 14U finished pool play undefeated and moved into the Gold bracket, where it reached the semifinals before falling 25-13, 15-16 to Palmetto Strikers Volleyball Club 14 Andria of the Charleston area. 

PCVC 13U/14U finished 2-2 on the weekend, reaching the semifinals in the Silver bracket before dropping a 25-19, 25-20 decision to Gaston Galaxy U14 from Gaston County. 

PCVC’s 12U competed in the 13 Girls Club division and finished 5th. The team went undefeated in pool play before suffering a hard-fought 25-18, 18-25, 15-7 loss to Gaston Galaxy 13U in the Gold bracket.
