Tryon United Methodist Church will continue a local fall tradition next week, as the church hosts its annual steak dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
For well over four decades, the members of Tryon United Methodist Church have hosted their traditional steak dinner. It has always been a time when friends throughout Polk County take an opportunity to visit and catch up, whether it is sitting down over dinner or stopping by early to pick up a meal to go, organizers said.
The menu has also weathered the test of time: rib-eye steaks, baked potatoes, rolls, salads, beverages and an array of homemade desserts.
Meals will be served in the fellowship hall from 5 to 7 p.m. Children’s plates and take-outs will also be available.
The church is located at 195 New Market Road, Tryon, near the Pine Crest Inn. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Owens Pharmacy, the Columbus Flower Cottage and the church office. Remaining tickets will be sold at the door.
Those interested in learning more may call the church at 859-9218.
