Columbus Baptist Church Good Neighbor Store to reopen Thursday

After the long and arduous task of renovating and restoring the Columbus Baptist Church Good Neighbor Store, volunteers are looking forward to a grand reopening on Thursday.
New and longtime shoppers may check out the transformation of the store, with contributions by Marie Constance and Betty Fenner. Fenner, an artist, and Constance, who has experience in marketing and retail, have worked to create an atmosphere of beauty and tranquility, representatives said.
They are very grateful for the help of the volunteers, including the carpentry skills of some of the men of the church.
The Good Neighbor Store has always been missions-minded, reaching out to help those in need. Recently, a couple lost everything they had in a house fire. Earlier in the year, a young man had gone through a fire, losing all his possessions.
The store has also reached out with coats and other articles of clothing to school children in need.
As always, the volunteers of the Good Neighbor store wish to express their appreciation to the members of the community who contribute to the success of this ministry through donations of clothing and household items, as well as those who come in and shop.
