RIP Charles Krauthammer

Charles Krauthammer, known for his intelligence and courageous defense of American principles, was also appreciated by those who knew and followed him for his biting wit.

During an interview with Jon Stewart, he referenced his former liberal beliefs. Stewart jibed that there had once been “hope.” Krauthammer replied, “and then there was change.”

Charles Krauthammer was not afraid of change; he was also fearless in the profession of his beliefs and opinions. Those of us in the Republican Party who supported Donald Trump in his candidacy for president were disappointed in Charles Krauthammer’s pointed opposition, but we always respected his honesty, and noted his fair evaluation of President Trump after his election.

More importantly, putting advocacy for any position aside, we admired what a good man had accomplished in his life while overcoming severe disability. His life is an example of courage, honesty and goodwill that we all can aspire to.
