The Rotary Club of Tryon recently added two new Paul Harris Fellows to its ranks.
Alexandra Adams was recognized for her service to the club with a Paul Harris donation made in her name. Adams is not a member of the club, but she has been an integral part of its gourmet nut sales for the past few years.
Most of members would not know it was time for their “shift” if not for a friendly call from Adams, club officials said.
Jim Bross earned his Paul Harris Fellow award at another club, but his work pulled him to into the local area before he could receive the recognition. It may be two years late, but the Tryon club was happy to recognize the donation made by Bross.
The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation. District Governor Bill Biddle was on hand to recognize the two for their contributions to the community and Rotary International.
