Polk County Historical Association (PCHA) members will hold their annual meeting on May 2 at 2:30 p.m. at the PCHA museum located at 60 Walker St., Columbus.
There will be a business meeting in which new officers and board members will be elected. Plans for the coming year will be discussed.
The program will be a lively discussion by board member, writer and historian, Joe Epley, of his new book relaying the saga of the Revolutionary Loyalist Partisan of the Carolinas, David Fanning. The book includes interesting facts about Tory and Whig movements and skirmishes around upper South Carolina, middle North Carolina and the area that later became Polk County.
