One bright spot for the Landrum men’s soccer team last week was a 1-1 tie on April 17 against Brashier Middle College High School, to whom the Cardinals had dropped an earlier 4-1 match.
Last Wednesday, April 19, reduced numbers cost the Cardinals, who lost 7-0 to visiting St. Joseph’s Catholic.
The loss dropped the Cards to 5-11-1 overall, and 1-5 in region play.
“We were missing four starters due to it being a Wednesday night game, and other obligations, said Cardinal head coach Andrew Bowen. “We look to rebound this week and make a strong playoff push.”
Next game is Thursday, April 27 at Southside Christian, starting at 7:30 p.m.
