Tristin Montgomery, a sophomore at Polk County High School, performed with the Carolina Youth Symphony last Sunday at the Peace Center in Greenville, S.C. She is principal cellist of the Concert Orchestra and joining her in the cello section was Sean Riordan, a student at Landrum High School.
The exciting finale of the concert was George Gershwin’s “American in Paris.”
They are both to be commended for their hard work and dedication, culminating in a wonderful musical experience for the audience. Their next performance will be a holiday concert at 3 p.m. on Dec. 4, at McAlister Auditorium of Furman University.
