Agromedicine Institute to teach farmer safety training

The Office of Agricultural Economic Development, AmeriCorps Project Conserve, Polk County Farm Bureau, and Polk County Cooperative Extension invite farmers and farm workers to participate in a farmer safety training taught by the N.C. Agromedicine Institute.
This free training will be Tuesday, July 12 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at the dining hall at the 4-H Center in Columbus.
The training will cover scene safety, response to traumatic injuries, response to medical emergencies, as well as other farm safety topics. All participants in this training will receive a free first aid kit, free fire extinguisher, and a light lunch served at 12 p.m. and provided by Polk County Farm Bureau and Manna Cabanna Catering.
