Stacey Lindsay was recently inducted into the Second Wind Hall of Fame. She was sponsored for membership by the Rotary Club of Tryon on the recommendation of Carol Browning. Her volunteer service extends to being a director of Rotary, being co-chair of Rotary’s Fabulous 4th Bike Tour, and handling the ticket sales for the Community Chorus Concert.

Stacey’s extensive record of community services includes being a board member and chair of the finance committee for Thermal Belt Outreach, as well as handling intake a day each week. For the Polk County Community Foundation, she serves on the finance committee and she is a director of the Community Chorus. Truth be told, Stacey’s retirement in 2013 gave her a “second wind” for volunteer service to her community.

Stacey and husband Terry Schager moved to the Thermal Belt area in 1992 from Greenville, where she had a career with S.C. National Bank and TD Bank. Her volunteer experiences there included the Greenville First Night, Roundtowners activities, and starting the Leadership Greenville program.

Stacey’s education at the University of South Carolina progressed from graduating with a degree in accounting, to an MBA, and to success in banking. Her leisure time interests involve horses, gardening, bike riding and travel.

The Second Wind Hall of Fame welcomes Stacey and will recognize her as a guest of honor at its 38th annual meeting in September. The 200+ member SWHF has the mission to identify those extraordinary community volunteers whose service brings so many benefits to our quality of life in the Thermal Belt area.
