SC primary voters choose Clinton Saturday

In the 2016 Democratic Presidential Preference Primary held Saturday, Feb. 27, Hillary Clinton was declared the winner early in the evening by a large margin. Bernie Sanders placed second, while Willie Wilson took third and Martin O’Malley took fourth.

According to scvotes.org, statewide votes and precinct votes in the Bulletin readership area were broken down as follows:

In the statewide analysis below, voter turnout averaged 12.72 percent with 370,719 votes cast.
