Family fun at spring health festival

As is usual this time of year, we have many events that vie for our time and attention – graduation and senior awards, little league soccer and summer camps, Johnnyswim at Tryon Fine Arts Center or the latest movie in downtown Tryon. One thing we certainly hope you won’t miss is a full day of events intended to help you “Spring Into A Healthy Summer!”
With a big focus on children, St. Luke’s Hospital and Polk Fit, Fresh and Friendly are co-hosting a community event for the entire family this Saturday, June 1. It starts early with the opening of the Columbus Farmers Market (8 a.m.-noon) and healthy cooking demonstrations near the courthouse, and ends late with a free swim and refreshments at Gibson Pool (4-6 p.m.).
