A group of officials with the Polk County government, including the county&39;s economic development commission, are planning to travel to a town hall meeting in Fletcher on Monday regarding the North Carolina Equine Economic Impact Study. The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the Western North Carolina Agricultural Center. Polk officials say the results of the impact study do not match figures on the impact of the equine industry in Polk County. Polk officials say they would like to address that issue at the meeting.
