Mark you calendars for Tryon&squo;s 3rd Annual April Fools Festival on Saturday, April 4. Don a foolish garb and show out for a bit of mid-season hilarity and high jinks. &bsp;
Activities begin at 11 a.m. with the Doggie costume contest in St. Luke&squo;s Thrift Store parking lot. All proceeds from the $1 entry fee will be donated in the winning pooch&39;s name to Foothills Humane Society.
The April Fool&squo;s Parade will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the fiercely competitive Outhouse Races and tricycle/big wheels races for adults. &bsp;
There will be music on the street throughout most of the day in front of the Trade Street Coffee House and Merle Norman, with a special appearance of the Lone Derangers in the Shops of Tryon&squo;s parking lot.
Pre-festival activities will kick off this Friday, March 27, with a public art installation titled &uot;Tie one on with Tryon,&uot; which will also include a tie coloring competition for young folks. Contact Cindy Viehman. &bsp;
