St. Luke CME Church will sponsor an “old-time religion” program on Sunday, June 24 at 3 p.m. The senior choir, or as some churches call it, the hymn choir, will celebrate its annual choir day.
The theme for the event is “old-time religion.” Attendees are asked to dress in old timey clothes or jeans and enjoy various church groups that have been asked to select songs appropriate for the theme.
The repast at the end of the program will consist of chicken, collard greens, pinto beans and corn bread. The program and repast are free to the public.
St. Luke CME Church is located on Markham Road in Tryon.
