Two-day event benefits TFAC and ArtScapes Project
Art in Bloom, the second biennial celebration of artful gardens in the Carolina foothills will take place Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13. Saturday’s tour, accessible only by shuttle, will feature five private

gardens in the Tryon and Landrum area. The Art in Bloom committee believes that few areas in the world can rival the beauty of the foothills. Their motivation is to share this beauty by celebrating the art of gardening during the second biennial two-day event.
Garden owners have made their private grounds available for this event. Ranging from a mature Carolina woodlands native garden to manicured grounds with oriental influence to beds demonstrating early American practicality, this year’s slate of gardens will interest viewers looking for inspiration in both beauty and sustainable living.

Pictures of the gardens, information on the Saturday Bazaar in downtown Tryon and Landrum and the Sunday Festive Finale are currently available on the site. Look for updated information regarding the Saturday vendors and the practical as well as aesthetic and whimsical merchandise they’ll have available for lovers of gardens and art. Lists of the artists featured in the sculpture exhibit at Tryon Fine Arts Center will be updated, as well as photos of their work on display for the month of May.
