“There were approximately 261 feet of yaw marks from the point (where the motorcycle driver) left the roadway,” Lt. Conner told the Bulletin Sunday. “Excessive speed was a factor in the accident.”

Officials say that the driver of the motorcycle left a residence between 1 and 3 a.m. on Sunday before the accident occurred, and an investigation is currently underway.

The decedent was transported to AdventHealth Polk Hospital, and an autopsy is scheduled.
