Polk district court results

April 27 session
In Polk County District Court held on Wednesday, April 27 with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 217 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are printed as they appear in court results):
Salinda Kaur Babeer was convicted of speeding 44 mph in a 35 mph zone. Balbeer was fined $60 and court costs.
Kevin Anderson Beach was convicted of speeding 91 mph in a 65 mph zone. Beach was fined $91 and court costs.
Bradley Earl Bell was convicted of worthless check simple. Bell was fined $40 and court costs.
Fransisco P. Bocanegra was convicted of speeding 87 mph in a 65 mph zone. Bocanegra was fined $45 and court costs.
Joseph Derek Brown was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Brown was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, one day in jail, $100 fine and court costs.
Dominico R. Burdell was convicted of speeding 93 mph in a 65 mph zone. Burdell was fined $93 and court costs.
Tyler Henry Dmitri was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Dmitri was sentenced to 36 hours of community service and court costs.
Jeffrey Dean Gagley was convicted of unlawfully taking a game bird. Gagley was fined $250 and court costs.
Jamie Lee Greene was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Greene was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Brian Heath Gregory was convicted of operating a vehicle with no operator’s license and possession of open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Gregory was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for two days.
Christopher Hartford was convicted of failure to comply with jail time. Hartford was sent to jail to complete one day.
David Patrick Hefner was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Hefner was sentenced to 36 hours of community service and court costs.
Nicholas Wesley Jolley was convicted of simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, three counts of misdemeanor breaking and/or entering of a motor vehicle, two counts of common law uttering and six counts of misdemeanor larceny. On the possession charge, he was sentenced to 24 hours of community service. On the breaking and/or entering, common law uttering and larceny charges, he was sentenced to 12 months supervised probation, $477 in restitution and court costs.
Joshua Brian McCarson was convicted of failure to wear seat belt – driver. McCarson was fined $25 and court costs.
Kevin Scott Presley was convicted of littering not greater than 15 lbs. Presley was fined $250 and court costs.
Michael Wayne Rollins was convicted of hunting from a motor vehicle and unlawfully taking a game bird. Rollins was fined $250 and court costs.
Katrina Marie Stow was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Stow was fined $30 and court costs.
Tana Deann Tapp was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Tapp was ordered to comply with community service hours.
Thomas B. Young was convicted of speeding 85 mph in a 65 mph zone. Young was fined $50 and court costs.

April 29 session
In Polk County District Court held last Friday, April 29, 2011 with Judge Mack Brittain presiding, 64 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are printed as they appear in court results):
Diane Peggy Anderson was convicted of four counts of misdemeanor larceny. Anderson was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation, 48 hours of community service, $750 in restitution, a $100 fine and court costs.
Lamonte Edgerton was convicted of second degree trespassing and possession of open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Edgerton was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Stephen Robert Forster was convicted of driving after consuming under age 21 and possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Forster was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Patrick Dean Goodrich was convicted of possession of open container in passenger area. Goodrich was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $40 fine and court costs.
Darlene Michel Gosnell was convicted of common law forgery. Gosnell was sentenced to 12 months supervised probation, two days in jail with credit for time served, $162 in restitution, a $100 fine and court costs.
Joey Franklin Henson was convicted of speeding 29 mph in a 20 mph zone and possession of drug paraphernalia. Henson was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $125 fine and court costs.
Florence Evonne Hines was convicted of a rear lamp violation. Hines was sentenced to pay court costs.
Kevin Duane Kerr was convicted of driving while license revoked. Kerr was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Michael Paul Lucas was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Lucas was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.
Justin Rea Williamson was convicted of possession of a fictitious/altered title/registration card/tag. Williamson was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for time served.
