Community invited to explore untold stories of Pea Ridge, surrounding areas

POLK COUNTY—The Pea Ridge Partnership recently announced it will host its next history tour on Wednesday, July 24, at 10 a.m. Organizers invite the community to explore the deep-rooted legacy of Pea Ridge and its surrounding areas.

This engaging riding tour offers participants the opportunity to learn about the lives, land, and legacies of families who shaped the region’s rich cultural and historical landscape.

“Stories passed down through generations will come to life through guided narration, family landmarks, and preserved sites,” said PRP Founder Tanisha Twitty Akinloye. “Our tours are more than educational, they are healing journeys. They reconnect families to their roots and uplift the stories that were once silenced.”

The Pea Ridge Partnership is an initiative of Empowering Through Beauty Inc., a 501c3 organization. The mission of PRP is to preserve local history, empower future generations, and foster community pride through storytelling, environmental stewardship, and intergenerational connection.
