TRYON— On Friday evening, the Tryon Downtown Development Association hosted its After Hours Mixer at Carri Bass Photo & Art’s new location at 92 Pacolet St. This event served as an introduction to Bass’s newly refurbished space, formerly occupied by Campbell & Associates Real Estate.
Attendees were treated to a first look at the portrait studio and gallery space, showcasing artwork by numerous fabulous artists such as Rich Nelson, Pat Cato, Marsha Hammel, Bass’ photography, and more. Bass has infused her unique style into the space, creating a welcoming atmosphere for patrons seeking portrait photography and local art.
She emphasized the benefits of her new location with a smile. “It’s me. This space is totally me,” she said. “It is smaller than my previous space, but it gives me more than enough room with the gallery out front and photo studio in the back.”

The new location also supplies more visibility and increased foot traffic, an advantage she is excited to embrace.
Guests enjoyed a delightful spread of snacks and beverages, courtesy of Bass and Chef Sharone, while mingling and engaging in conversation with representatives from various businesses and organizations across Tryon.
“The After Hours Mixer and Morning Mingle are great networking events that serve as a way for business owners to get to know each other and discuss ways they can work together and what kind of services folks offer,” said TDDA Director Lourdes Guterriez.
The TDDA is set to host its next networking event, the Morning Mingle, on Friday, August 1, at 9 a.m. This gathering will take place at Tryon Painters & Sculptors, located at 78 N. Trade St.
