TRYON—On Saturday, August 9, FENCE will come alive with music and community spirit during the Moon Howl—an outdoor benefit concert under the stars that promises to be one of the highlights of the summer.
Gates open at 6 p.m., giving guests time to grab their favorite spot on the lawn, enjoy food and drinks, and soak in the atmosphere. Live music kicks off at 7 p.m. Attendees should bring blankets and lawn chairs.
Headlining the evening will be The Silver Travis Band, hailing from Roebuck, South Carolina. Known for their deep roots in traditional Southern rock, the band brings a powerful mix of crowd favorites and compelling originals to every stage they play. The band’s original music is fast becoming part of the Southern rock canon, and fans will be thrilled to hear signature renditions of Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Marshall Tucker Band classics—songs that get people dancing and singing along..

Opening the show is Borderline Therapy, a 5-piece band based in Landrum. They perform an eclectic mix of rock from the 60s to the 2000s, along with some classic country.
The Moon Howl benefit concert is a celebration of community, local flavor, and the natural beauty of the Carolina Foothills. Guests will enjoy craft beer served by Iron Key Brewing of Columbus, and Weezy’s Mobile Eats will be on-site, serving up wings and festival favorites.
All proceeds from the event will support FENCE’s mission to provide year-round access to nature, trails, educational programming, and events. Tickets are on sale now and are available at www.fence.org.
