Create a fiber painting of a whimsical goldfinch
TRYON—On Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the talented Irene Heckel returns to FENCE to teach one of her popular needle felting classes. Irene will teach students the skills to create a unique piece of art using fibers.
The class will be a chance to use needle felting to create a fiber painting of a whimsical goldfinch that is sure to brighten your day! Attendees will use a prefelt background with the design on it and wool fibers to help fill in all the colors, blending colors to create shading and learning other techniques to enhance the 8×10 image. The class will be suitable for beginners or those with some experience.
Space is limited, pre-registration is required. There is a fee per person, and all supplies are included in the class fee.
FENCE is located at 3381 Hunting Country Road. To register for this event, or for more information about this or upcoming events, call FENCE at 828-859-9021 or email info@fence.org.
