The free event will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Saluda Historic Depot.

Blending community, conservation, and creativity, the presentation will offer a unique opportunity to explore the wild side of western North Carolina, featuring stories from Loti Woods about wildlife, such as vultures (both real and sculptural), the elusive Red Wolf, and the mysterious Hellbender. Dale Weiler, a local wildlife sculptor, will walk the audience through his sculpture process.

The evening will also feature heartwarming insights from Alexis Hinchliffe, whose work with children and wildlife in the area is sure to inspire guests.

Guests will enjoy light refreshments, wine and water, and the opportunity to connect with others who care deeply about protecting North Carolina’s wild heritage and passing along a love of nature to the next generation.

The Saluda Historic Depot is located at 32 W. Main St. For more information, contact Woods at loti@championsforwildlife.org.
