TRACK AND FIELD: Polk track moves to outdoor season with Waldrop Memorial

Polk County kicked off its outdoor track season on Friday by hosting R-S Central for the annual Tony Waldrop Memorial.

The Wolverines had two athletes record qualifying performances for the 1A West Regional in May:

Blake Anderson won the 400-meter run with a mark of 53.68, just surpassing the standard of 53.74 and Karsyn Huskey claimed the 800-meter run in 2:27.87.

Polk County will return to the J. Alan Peoples Track on Friday, hosting the Wolverine Co-Ed Invitational. That meet is set to start at 4 p.m.
