Banks Barber and Riley Ballentine delivered flawless outings at the top of the Wolverine lineup, each winning 6-0, 6-0 in singles before teaming for an 8-0 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Charlie Wagoner, Morgan Allen and Grayson Meyer all added straight-set singles wins, with Thomas Taylor earning a forfeit victory at No. 6 singles.

Wagoner and Allen teamed for an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles, with Meyer and Taylor getting a forfeit win at No. 3 doubles.

“Overall, the boys looked fantastic on the court,” said Polk County head coach Tracy Becker. “Although the wind posed some challenges, they remained focused and executed the strategies we practiced before the match, which undoubtedly helped boost their confidence. I am incredibly proud of how well they handled themselves throughout the competition.”

The Wolverines will look to continue their winning ways on Monday, traveling to face the Bearcats in a 4 p.m. match.
