Polk County Schools will be closed for students today due to threat of inclement weather. It will be a workday for staff.

“There is still much uncertainty in today’s forecast, and with changing amounts and timing we feel the safest option is not to have students or buses on the road this morning,” said Polk County Schools Superintendent Aaron Greene. “If we are going to get any measurable snow it will be between 8 and 11 am, so a delay would only put us right in the middle of the forecasted precipitation.”

“Please note we have also canceled thePolk Central Strategic Planning Session for this evening and will reschedule that event.”
