Friends of Agriculture breakfast set for February 19

This month’s Friends of Agriculture breakfast is set for Wednesday, February 19 from 7 to 8 a.m. The event is open to the public and will be held at the Green Creek Community Center located at 25 Shields Drive in Green Creek. 

The event serves as an opportunity for attendees to meet their neighbors and connect with community support agencies that are here to help maintain our beautiful, rural agricultural community.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own coffee mug, plate and utensils.

The ongoing historic event has been happening for 15 years and features speakers from local farms and other agricultural experts in their field.

This month’s speaker is Brandon Highsmith, Chief Property Appraiser & Operations Supervisor for Polk County. The topic this month is: The Nuts & Bolts of Present Use Value & the Revaluation Process.

Friends of Agriculture breakfast is held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month September through May.
