POLK COUNTY—Foothills Humane Society is arranging the “ulti-mutt” blind date on Saturday, February 15, as it will host the Mystery Mutt Match from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the shelter. 

The experienced staff will pair visitors with the perfect four-legged companion for a fun, heartwarming stroll around its beautiful 11-acre property. 

Visitors can walk the trails or play fetch with their date in the doggie play yard, or do both. It may also be possible to arrange an off-site date with some dogs.  

“It would mean so much to the dogs at the shelter to have this fun time with you and get some extra love for Valentine’s Day,” said FHS President Carol Parker. “If you prefer cats, we can match you with one of our kitties who would love to join you in our ‘Catio’ for some cuddling and playing.”
