Two men arrested after attempted break-in at Mill Spring property

MILL SPRING—Two Spartanburg County men were arrested Saturday evening after allegedly attempting to break into a property on Burt Blackwell Road in Mill Spring.

Jason Wayne Thomas, 44, of Campobello, and Jeffery Scott Leviner, 45, of Inman, are facing multiple felony charges, including breaking and entering, possession of burglary tools, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Law enforcement responded to a possible burglary in progress at approximately 5:52 p.m. on January 11. Upon arrival, officers reportedly found the suspects attempting to enter the property.

Thomas and Leviner were taken into custody and booked into the Polk County Detention Center. As of press time Thomas is being held on a $28,000 bond, while Leviner’s bond is set at $20,000.
