Polk County Schools recently announced they have received a new activity bus through the Volkswagen Grant program.

According to Dr. Brandon Schweitzer, Polk County Schools’ Director of Operations,  the new bus will significantly enhance transportation capabilities, allowing the schools to better support student activities and events. 

The grant program, funded by Volkswagon’s environmental mitigation trust, aims to promote cleaner, more efficient transportation options to schools across the nation. 

“Our new bus not only provides safe and reliable transportation for our students, but also aligns with our commitment to sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint” says Schweitzer. “We look forward to utilizing this valuable resource for many years to come.”
