COLUMBUS—The annual Easter Egg Hunt at Stearns Park will take place in Columbus on Saturday, March 30. The Columbus Fire Department and the Columbus Fire Auxiliary are presenting this free event, and the public is invited.
“This will be a great way for the community to come together and enjoy the park,” said Kathy Priester with the Columbus Fire Auxiliary. “We are very excited to be a part of this event once again. There will be thousands of Easter eggs hidden throughout Stearns Park, so it will be a fun day for children and families!”
Taking place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the day will feature special crafts, games, face painting and “a special guest,” in addition to the egg hunt. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will also be available for sale, with proceeds benefitting the fire department.
Immediately following the Easter egg hunt, several churches in the county will provide a special presentation.
Saturday’s weather forecast shows highs in the mid-seventies with lots of sunshine, so it should be an “egg-celent day” for an egg hunt!
Stearns Park is located at 125 E. Mills Street.
