Owner of Landrum Retail Center confirms lease with city officials
LANDRUM––After months of speculation, it has been confirmed that an Aldi grocery store is coming to the Landrum Retail Center at 1750 Highway 14 East, where Bi-Lo was most recently located in Landrum.
On Wednesday morning, the City of Landrum received confirmation from the owner of the old Bi-Lo building, who stated that Aldi has signed a lease to open a grocery store at this location. Currently, renovations are being done inside the 25,000 square foot space, which are expected to begin by February.
Bi-Lo in Landrum closed in April of 2021, leaving shoppers in the area fewer options for groceries. Aldi is known for its unique warehouse-style shelving and competitive prices, and hopes to offer a simplified shopping experience to area residents.
Aldi is currently hiring positions for the Landrum location. Applications can be found at careers.aldi.us.
