Polk sweeps East Henderson to open season

Polk County delivered a successful season debut on Wednesday, sweeping East Henderson in non-conference volleyball action in Flat Rock.
The Wolverines earned a 25-12, 25-14, 25-16 victory, spoiling the Eagles’ home and season opener.
Sophia Overholt had 10 kills for Polk County, with Ada Kelley adding seven kills and three blocks. Morgan Yoder had five kills and three aces while Elena Carroll had four kills.
Ella Waldman had 22 digs to surpass 500 for her career, with Zaelea Eller providing 13 assists and seven digs and Amberlyn Scruggs notching 10 assists and six digs.
Polk County returns to the road Wednesday, traveling to Smoky Mountain for another non-conference clash.
