Foothills Chamber of Commerce held ribbon cutting on Friday 

 

TRYON––On Friday, July 15, the Foothills Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Alcove Beauty Studio in Tryon.

Owner Kaylyn Halloran opened her business last December, and after getting settled in she was ready to have a ribbon cutting celebrating the start of her business.

Halloran says she is booked with appointments at least a month in advance. As a one-woman-show, she stays busy offering brow waxing, lash extensions, and more.

“My family and I visited Tryon a good bit, and we participate in family functions that the Chamber holds,” she says, explaining why she opened her business in Tryon. “I like Harmon Field, and I’ve been to the Equestrian Center a good bit for their family fun nights. I just love it here.”

Eventually, Halloran would like to add more specialists to the Alcove family who work in body waxing, facials, or permanent makeup.

Present at the ribbon cutting last Friday were a few members of the Foothills Chamber of Commerce, the owners of surrounding local businesses, some clients of Halloran’s, and her husband and their three children. 

 

Alcove Beauty Studio is located at 112 N Trade St., Suite 8 in Tryon, and is open Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
