On Monday, April 20, Pastor Mark and The Mission Committee from Landrum First Baptist Church donated and delivered lunch from Boots and Sonny’s to the staff of White Oak of Tryon.

Pastor Mark said, “This is just a thank you and to tell you how much we appreciate all you do and especially how you are keeping our loved ones safe during this difficult time.”

Since outsiders are not allowed inside due to the Corvid-19 Pandemic, staff went outside to help take the food into the serving area and then took shifts serving to their coworkers. Many of the White Oak staff members consider themselves great judges of southern food and they all said “Boots and Sonny’s food takes the prize!”

The menu consisted of Corn Bread, Biscuits, Seasoned Green Beans, Mac and Cheese and huge Fried Chicken pieces. Of course, there was Banana Pudding, Sweet Tea and Lemonade.

A big thanks goes out to The Mission Committee of Landrum First Baptist and to Boots and Sonny’s, it was truly a “Heavenly Lunch.”
