‘Heart to Heart’ gala set for Feb. 9

The Polk County Community Foundation and the free community grants funds have made it possible for the Polk County and Landrum community to enjoy a night out. The Unity in the Community Organization will be sponsoring the sixth annual Heart to Heart gala at 6 p.m. on Feb. 6.

With Valentine’s Day and American Heart Month in February, this gala focuses on matters of the heart, with Keynote Speaker Dr. Robert Jackson.

Dr. Jackson is a family medicine doctor in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He received his medical degree from Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine and has been in practice for 30 years.

Other speakers include Felicia Hipp (certified fitness instructor) and Eric Reedy (Pastor of Mountain Baptist Church).

The evening will also feature a meal, live music and performing artists. Attire is semi-formal.

The Heart To Heart gala will be held at the Tryon International Equestrian Center. The venue, catering and all other expenses are paid for by the Polk County Community Foundation grant’s fund. Seating is limited. To reserve a space, contact Sharon Rogers at 828-288-0495.
