Annual Toy Run seeks sponsors

As fall is upon us the holiday season isn’t far behind. Plans are already underway for our annual Polk County Toy Run, which is scheduled for Saturday, November 25. Riders parade from Saluda through Tryon, Landrum, Green Creek, Mill Spring, and wind up on the steps of the historic courthouse in Columbus. We need your help to ensure our event is a success.
As you know the Toy Run helps provide toys for children who otherwise may not receive toys this holiday season. We host this event and work in conjunction with other local agencies to make sure all children have a joyous holiday.
Toy donations can be dropped off at the Sheriff’s Office. We will keep you informed as we add sites to receive these donations.
Monetary donations also are greatly appreciated. This year we are attempting to gain 140 sponsors for our event. Individuals, families, and businesses can sponsor our event for only $100 and receive their name(s) on our Toy Run shirts. With your help, we will reach our goal and thus be able to help even more children! Your assistance in making this holiday season joyous for all is greatly appreciated.
Should you have more questions, or if I can be of further service, please let me know.
Warmest regards,
Donald J. Hill, Sheriff Polk County
